A Smile of Solidarity: Ehsan’s Artistic Creations Fundraise for Dental Trauma UK

April 2025

Ehsan

In November 2023, seven-year-old Ehsan slipped on a skate ramp outside his school and landed face-first. The impact fractured his front tooth so severely that it was broken in half and the remainder driven up into the gum – one of the most serious forms of dental trauma.

Thanks to the expert care he received at Bristol Dental Hospital, Ehsan underwent extensive treatment to stabilise and restore the damaged tooth. The team’s skill meant that, for the time being, the tooth is back in place and he is free from discomfort. Although further treatment may be needed in the future, this young patient can already smile with confidence, a testament to both his own resilience and the hospital’s dedication.

Moved by the kindness of his dental team, Ehsan decided to show his gratitude in a uniquely creative way. Over the past few months, he has been designing and producing his very own Pokémoninspired cards, which he sells online. He has generously donated a portion of the proceeds to Dental Trauma UK. Ehsan says “I chose Dental Trauma UK because I’ve been through dental trauma and I would like everyone to know more about what to do when it happens”. He found our charity by searching online with his parents (who also made a generous dontation - thank you very much!).

Congratulations to Ehsan both for his courage in facing treatment and for his compassionate wish to support others who have suffered dental injuries. His story reminds us that even the youngest among us can turn adversity into something truly remarkable.
